Description

Species: Watsonisuchus madagascariensis
Age: Triassic
Locality: Madagascar

Measurements: c. 10.1 cm long – 11.6 × 8.6 cm concretion.

We present here a beautiful skull of a Triassic tetrapod. The fossil consists of two parts preserved in a calcareous concretion: the internal and external moulds of the skull. The external mould is coated with limonite, which makes the piece much appealing. Part of the vertebral column is preserved.

We made a cast of the external mould (photos 5 and 7) that will be offered with the fossil.
